Stock Photography Workshop
This 1 1/2 day Stock Photography workshop will be led by guest instructor Joe Drivas. Joe is one of the nation’s leading stock photographers, and his work is represented and licensed worldwide through Getty Images, Iconica, Stone, and Photographer's Choice collections. Join us on the evening of Friday Feb. 19th at the Embassy Suites when Joe will provide an overview of the stock photography industry and detail his unique and successful approach to being a highly competitive stock photographer. Joe will describe his software workflow, his approach to image metadata, and archival methods for quick retrieval. He will discuss model and property releases, and describe what gear to bring to the shoot the following day, and what type of shots he will be looking to create.
On Saturday morning we will reconvene at the beautiful Grand Cypress Hotel. We will photograph several models at various locations around the hotel and its grounds. You will learn how to direct and pose the models, and what lighting and angles to use for the best shots. After the shoot we will return to the Embassy Suites, participants will be able to download their images for review. Joe will then demonstrate a variety of Photoshop techniques and the use of plugin software to speed up workflow, enhance your images and make them more marketable. Snacks and lunch provided.

10 Techniques to Improve Your Photos
This class is aimed at the relatively new digital photographer that wants to quickly raise the standard of his or her images. Whether you just want to have better images to share with friends and family, or you want to improve your performance in competition, the tips and techniques shared in this class will definitely raise your game. Subjects covered will include concept, composition, light, viewpoint, lens and focal length selection, creative control of your camera and essential image processing techniques for great results.

On Camera Flash
This class will cover the fundamentals of flash photography. You will learn how to get the best out of your camera’s pop-up flash, as well as to effectively use an external flash unit mounted on the camera. Topics covered will include using various on-camera flash modifiers, flash brackets, use of front- and rear-curtain synch, high-speed synch flash, bouncing flash off various surfaces, fill flash, and balancing flash with ambient light. This class is guaranteed to greatly improve your flash photographs and take your photography to a new level.
