On Camera Flash
This class will cover the fundamentals of flash photography. You will learn how to get the best out of your camera’s pop-up flash, as well as to effectively use an external flash unit mounted on the camera. Topics covered will include using various on-camera flash modifiers, flash brackets, use of front- and rear-curtain synch, high-speed synch flash, bouncing flash off various surfaces, fill flash, and balancing flash with ambient light. This class is guaranteed to greatly improve your flash photographs and take your photography to a new level.

Bird Photography Field Trip - Jim Urbach
Join us on this field trip led by Nature Photographer Jim Urbach to Gatorland. Jim will guide us in how to get the best bird images, see Great Egrets, Limpkins, Night Hawks, Spoonbills, Cattle Egrets & many more!! The birds are in close range so normal telephoto lenses are perfect.

Introduction to Adobe Lightroom
Adobe Lightroom offers powerful editing features for photographers to import, sort & organize images. This 2 week class will teach you how to work in the raw format, import photos, create an image library, apply adjustments to multiple images & integrate with Photoshop.

HDR Photography
This class will teach you how to merge multiple images taken at varying exposures to give you a stunning final image that displays a much broader spectrum of light and detail. The entire process from capture to final processing will be demonstrated. Subjects covered will include: choosing suitable subjects for HDR; bracketing exposures in the camera; generation of the HDR image; tone mapping; and post-processing of the tone-mapped HDR image. HDR conversion will be taught using Photomatix Pro software, with post-processing in Lightroom and/or Photoshop.

Shooting Portraits with Small Flashes
This class will cover the use of small flash units to create successful portraits with a minimum of fuss and equipment. Students will learn how to use a single flash to create a variety of portrait styles. Any camera system can be used, Nikon will be demonstrated.
