Courses
Studio Lighting
This 4 class series will teach the beginner all you need to know about setting up a small studio. Learn the basics about equipment, lighting styles and posing. You will have an opportunity to work with the latest studio lighting equipment and a model. A dSLR camera is required.

Shoot & Retouch - Lighting & Retouching for Beauty Head Shots
In this class, instructors John Francis and Susan Germyn will demonstrate how to take beautiful head shots from the ground up. Starting with a bare studio, we will build a simple lighting setup that is guaranteed to give great results. We will photograph a model live while tethered to a computer, so that students can see the effects as we create the lighting. From there, we will take the images into Lightroom and Photoshop for retouching of skin, eyes, hair, etc.. The techniques demonstrated will be applicable to both studio strobes and small flashes.

Intermediate dSLR’s
Prerequisite for this course is Introduction to Digital SLR or equivalent. This 2 week class will teach you more about exposure meter modes, exposure compensation, shooting in the manual mode, exposure bracketing, custom white balance, lens choice, using tripods & monopods, flash, RAW capture & basic image workflow.

Maitland Art Center - ArtsFest 2010
MAC will offer a variety of cultural experiences including art classes for children and Adults (pottery, and painting for children, and yoga, Photography workshop and watercolor for Adults) Performance Poetry, Oil painting demonstrations, Sketch club with live model and guided tours of the grounds, gardens and gallery with the featured exhibition The Orlando Camera Club.
Harmon School of Photography will present demo photoshoot on the grounds and will also be giving a Fine Art Photography Tour.

Composition for the Beginner
This class will teach you how to make the most of every image, using simple techniques in design. Learn how to organize the elements in your photo to create more powerful imagery. From the "rule of thirds" to using color to maximize impact, you will learn the techniques and see visual examples of great photography & artwork.
